★法律家の冷房事情★

　暑い季節になってきましたね。電車やデパートではもう冷房が入っている日がありますが，法律家の職場ではどうなのでしょうか？

　裁判所，検察庁については，筆者が全てをみたわけではないのですが，筆者の修習地の裁判所では，冷房は部屋ごとにつけたり消したりできず，全て中央で操作されるので，まずそもそもつきはじめる時期が比較的遅かった気がします。また，どんなに真夏で暑くても，５時半で冷房が切れてしまうので，そのあとは蒸し風呂状態の裁判官室でみなさん仕事をされていました。ホントはだめなのかもしれませんが，卓上にミニ扇風機を置いて使っている人も結構いました。他方で，昼間はちょっと冷房が効きすぎで，法廷でずーっと傍聴しているとすごく寒かったのを覚えています。検察庁も同様に，中央で操作される形式の冷暖房でした。

　他方，弁護士（町弁）はと言えば，通常は一応好き勝手に冷暖房はつけれます。もちろん，ボスの意向や，テナントビルの関係もあるでしょうけれども。筆者の事務所の場合，一軒家のような形で，筆者と同期の弁護士は２階の部屋にいるので，２人で勝手に２階の冷房をつけたり消したりしています。そういう意味では，冷房の環境については，とても快適ですね。

　裁判所や検察庁は，国家公務員である以上，そういう制約はやむを得ないでしょうね。逆に言えば，弁護士事務所の場合，冷房の電気代もボスが自分で支払わなければならないわけですから，負担は結構あるわけです。

私のところは，スイッチが事務局にあり，事務員が調整権を握っています。女性なので，冷え性なのか冷房温度は高めだったり，付けてくれなかったりです。私はとても暑がりで，汗かきなので，ちょっとしんどいです。事務員の目を盗んで冷房を付けたりしています。
イソ弁の地位は低いですから・・・・，残念！！

お久しぶりです。
よく「弁護士を雇う」と表現する人がいますが、弁護士と依頼者の依頼・受任の関係は雇ったり雇われたりするものではなく、対等な関係ですよね。
世間では「弁護士は雇うもの」という認識・感覚の人が多いのでしょうか？
時代劇で、大店の商人が浪人を用心棒として雇い、今は浪々中でも身分は侍で、専門性(剣術)を持っているので自分は雇い主の立場なんだけど用心棒を｢先生｣と呼んでいるのと似た感覚なのかな、とふと思いました。

　事務員が冷房の決定権を握ってるんですかあ(^_^)　でも，筆者の周りだけかもしれませんが，事務員さんが強い事務所って，安定している事務所が多いような気がしますよ。
でも，暑がりの村弁さんはたいへんですね(^_^)

　弁護士を「雇った」と思うかどうかは，半々くらいでしょうかね。地方に行くほど，雇うと言うよりは，「お願いに来た」という感覚を持っている人が多い気がします。別に，弁護士も商売でやってるんで，偉くもなんともないのですが，専門性があるので，お願いするという感覚があるのかもしれませんね。
　かかりつけのお医者さんのことを，「お医者さんを雇った」という感覚で考える人はほとんどいませんもんね。
